Why not take time to venture inland and take a tour of the regions of the West and North Coast by following the incredibly beautiful Ma-10 road that runs from Andratx pueblo in the South West, winding its way along the breathtaking West Coast of Mallorca. Take time to travel along this stunning and simple to navigate road passing through various authentic small Mallorca villages on the way.
Stop in the elevated village of Estellencs for tapas or coffee, take in the views to the ever blue horizon before continuing North in the direction of Banyalbufar where you can find another great stop for refreshments or take a stroll to stretch your legs. Here you can choose to cut back into the centre of the island if you wish, heading to the very picturesque village of Esporles with its selection of cafes and bars along the plaza and onwards from here to Palma.
Otherwise head north towards Soller on the Ma-10. You can choose to take a jaw dropping drive downwards to Port Valdemossa and take a dip in the sea or grab a famous paella at the only bar in the port. If you prefer more action you can take a right turn into the main town of Valdemossa, one of the most picturesque towns in Spain and the heart of art and culture for the region throughout history.
Staying north on the Ma-10 brings you to the famous town of Deia where superstars rub shoulders with locals alongside film crews and celebrities.
The Ma-10 then winds its way along the coast and eventually dives in land towards the historic town of Soller where you can choose to jump on the historic tram system that will take you through the main plaza and down to uber trendy Port de Soller. From Soller you can elect to head south back to Palma or continue on the Ma-10 heading east and up!
Brace yourself journey upwards into the clouds as you pass alongside one of the few freshwater reservoirs on the island called Gorg Blau, then carrying on until you finally reach the Roman village of Pollensa in the North East.
If you have made it this far, you have travelled the full length of one the most spectacular roads on the island, with a total journey of 110km, elevations of over 950 meters and end to end time of well over 3 hours.
