There are summer events on this island, and then there is Mallorca Live Festival. Cypress Hill and The Libertines add weight to the international headliner roster, while The Wombats and Kaiser Chiefs represent Britpop and indie rock with genuine hits behind them. Spanish stars Aitana and Rusowsky anchor the national programme, and Adriatique covers the late-night electronic space with authority.
The full bill, confirmed by the official festival website, includes more than 80 artists across five stages, mixing international names with strong national and local talent. Mallorcan and Balearic artists are represented throughout the programme.
Sunday 14 June is designated as the Closing Party, headlined by David Guetta with his full "The Monolith" production. This day operates under a separate ticketing structure from the two main festival days.
The Venue and Format
The festival site in Calvià accommodates around 25,000 people and runs five stages simultaneously, with genres alternating so that there is almost never a moment with nothing worth watching. The layout has been refined over nine editions and now flows well — distances between stages are manageable, and the site infrastructure (food courts, bars, water stations, first aid, lockers, phone charging, toilets and lost property) is genuinely comprehensive for an event of this scale.

Underground parking is not available on-site — public transport and shuttles are the practical solution, particularly given the volumes involved on each day.

VIP and Premium options are also available. The Premium Zone is capped at 350 people and includes private boxes above the main stage, gourmet catering from Grupo Portixol and Maca de Castro (menus change daily), a dedicated cocktail bar, VIP entry lanes and priority parking. Friday Premium LOW tables (for ten people) are listed at €7,250. Saturday Premium LOW tables are sold out. It is a level of comfort that makes the two-day experience considerably more manageable if a large group wants to share costs.

Getting There from the Southwest Coast
The festival venue in Calvià is well positioned for anyone based in the southwest of the island. From Portals Nous, Puerto Andratx, Santa Ponsa and the surrounding area, the drive is typically fifteen to twenty-five minutes depending on your exact starting point. However, on festival days, road traffic around the site builds considerably and parking is restricted. The shuttle bus network — operating from multiple points across the island including central Palma — is the most reliable way to arrive and leave without stress.
If you are bringing guests from elsewhere on the island, the shuttle routes from Palma are frequent and well-organised. For the closing party in particular, with David Guetta headlining an 80%-sold Sunday, the shuttle is the sensible option.
Making a Weekend of It
Mallorca Live is a genuine festival weekend, not simply a concert. The two-week warm-up period leading into the main event includes showcases, venue takeovers and smaller concerts across the island, with events confirmed at venues including Es Gremi in Palma. The festival itself starts properly on Friday evening, with Saturday being the peak day for most attendees.
If you have guests arriving for the festival, the Calvià coastline between Palmanova and Santa Ponsa offers good accommodation options at a range of price points. The beaches in this part of the island — Magaluf, Costa d'en Blanes, Portals Nous — are at their best in June, before the peak-August crowds arrive. A long festival weekend that begins with a day on the water and ends at the main stage is not an unusual itinerary on this stretch of coast.
