Imperial Properties has been based in South West Mallorca since 1985, and that is where both our offices and most of our listings are. We also assist clients who are buying, selling or renting long term in the north of the island, around Pollensa and Alcúdia. Enquiries for the north are handled directly from our Santa Ponsa office.
The north has a character of its own: two wide bays, the end of the Serra de Tramuntana at Cap de Formentor, and two historic towns set a few kilometres inland from their ports. It is around an hour's drive from Santa Ponsa.
Pollensa, or Pollença, is a stone-built town at the foot of the mountains, known for its main square, its Sunday market and the 365 Calvari steps that climb to a chapel above the rooftops. Puerto Pollensa, a few kilometres away, curves around a sheltered bay with the Pine Walk promenade along the water.
Buyers find townhouses in the old town, fincas and country villas in the valley between town and port, and apartments and villas close to the bay. The town has a long-established international community and a busy cultural calendar.
Alcúdia's old town sits inside restored medieval walls, beside the remains of the Roman city of Pollentia. Puerto Alcúdia has a marina and one of the longest sandy beaches on the island. On the headland beyond are the quieter residential areas of Alcanada, with its golf course, and Bonaire and Mal Pas.
The market includes townhouses within the walls, apartments near the beach and marina, and villas in Alcanada, Bonaire and Mal Pas, many with views across the bay.
